Presented by Camp/Cassin.

Whether you are an experienced alpinist or a beginning mountaineer, the benefits of the light & fast approach are indisputable. Being lighter means using less energy with every step we take and more comfortable when we are in motion. This clinic covers the most important aspects of the light & fast approach, moving in the mountains and multi-pitch climbing with a short theory session followed by an intensive field session where we work on the implementation of the skills, strategies and tactics that are most useful for you. A comprehensive curriculum and gear list will be provided in advance.

Note: participants will NOT be leading. All students will be on a top rope.

Light & Fast Alpinism is a topic near and dear to us. The Light & Fast Alpinism clinic is designed to go deeper into the skills, strategies and tactics that help us distill the big mountains down to something we can climb faster and safer, ultimately allowing us to set our sights ever higher.

You can find the curriculum for the clinic below. Each clinic features the theory and head space behind Light & Fast followed by a day traveling around in the mountains finding and climbing pitches where we will be able to focus on hands-on skills and tactics.

Athletes teaching this exciting new seminar are CAMP athletes Scott Bennett and Jed Porter, fresh off crusher seasons in the mountains.
