Looking for some additional skills to make you a more confident, competent, and independent climber? What do you do when something goes wrong? This full day seminar offers a variety of great rescue skills using what you carry on your harness. First day includes a 5-hour session inside where you can focus on theory and techniques. Day two will be a full day out on the ice putting your new skills to the test. Topics will include escaping a belay, rappel backups, tandem & counter-balance rappels, self and partner rescue and more. Instructor to Student ratio of 4:1
A comprehensive curriculum and gear list will be provided in advance. In-town location to be announced.
Thursday/Friday, December 6-7: Nadav Oakes, professional mountain guide and former special op and rescue trainer, with special guest Alan Rousseau, presented by BIF Heritage Sponsor Grivel.
Saturday/Sunday, December 8-9: Nadav Oakes, professional mountain guide and former special op and rescue trainer, with special guest Sarah Morris representing RAB.

Must have some ice climbing experience, comfortable wearing crampons and possess a solid foundation in climbing knots, belay and anchor systems.

8 - seminar may be cancelled without a minimum of 4 participants
+fees - includes gear demos, admission to in-town events & films (except “Free Solo”), and world-class instruction.
Cancellation & Transfer Policy:
Prior to November 20, you may have a one-time cancellation for a partial refund less a $50 deposit. After midnight on November 20, all clinic sales are final. Clinic registrations are non-transferable. That is, giving your clinic spot to a friend creates considerable challenges for our registration process so is not allowed.
Indoor Class (Day 1): Spire Climbing Center 10am to 3pm
On-Ice Location (Day 2): TBD (usually requires a 30-40 minute approach)
